Be sure to keep your receipt for tax timeā€”the IRS requires that you have a receipt from any tax-exempt organization you donate to. Of course, if you lose your receipt you can download another from this website at any time.

Tax Exempt Status

Big Brother Big Sister Foundation (BBBS Foundation) is a registered tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the federal tax code. Federal tax regulations state that any donations of property, or cash contributions, to BBBS Foundation are tax deductible in accordance with IRS regulations. Generally, contributions are deductible as Charitable Contributions on Schedule A to Form 1040 if you itemize deductions.
